Bright Beginnings

Families and ChildrenOur Bright Beginning Early Intervention Program serves young children from birth through 5 and their families. This program gives parents and caregivers the tools they need to help the child reach critical developmental stages that are normally achieved through visual interaction with the world.

Early Intervention

Young children with visual impairments face special challenges as they grow and develop. Specialized Early Intervention services provide children the help they need to lead a successful, self-sufficient life. This program also gives parents and caregivers the tools they need to help the child reach critical developmental stages that are normally achieved through visual interaction with the world. Early Intervention services are offered at the Lighthouse or in the child's natural environment (home, daycare or at other therapy provider’s locations).

Family Support Group

All students in The Bright Beginnings KIDS Program and their families are invited to participate in Family Activities throughout the year. The purpose of these events is to allow families to connect with each other, learn more about advocating for their child, and for the whole family to develop techniques to cope with having a child with a visual impairment. The families are invited to Playgroups throughout the year, and to special events including:

  • Valentine’s Party
  • Beeping Egg Hunt
  • Back to School Bash
  • Fall Festival
  • Holiday Party
