Broward County seniors who are blind or visually impaired now have a better chance of living a less restrictive life, thanks to a grant of $75,000 from The Jim Moran Foundation to the Lighthouse of Broward’s Vital Living program.
Thanks to the donation of four new tandem bicycles, Lighthouse of Broward - the county's only free, full-service agency providing training for independent living to people who are blind or visually impaired - is launching a new tandem cycling program for its clients and other interested people.
