CLUBS AT THE LIGHTHOUSE OF BROWARD

 

Trivia Group--meets the 1st Friday of each month, from 10am -12pm. When raucous laughter is heard in the halls of the Lighthouse, you can be sure it’s coming from the trivia group. Questions on a variety of subjects are read by a volunteer, and anyone who thinks they have the answer is free to call it out.

Lifetime Learners--meets the 2nd Friday of each month, from 10am -12pm As the name implies, there’s never a time to stop learning. Guest speakers from all walks of life come to share information.

 

Alumni Society-meets the 3rd Friday of each month, from 10am -12pm The members of the Alumni Society are former clients who raise funds to support staff who wish to attend training and conferences. They get tremendous satisfaction in “paying it forward.”

 

 

 

 

Book Club--meets the LAST Friday of each month, from 10am -12pm

Many people who first come to the Lighthouse are delighted to learn that they don’t have to give up their love of reading due to vision loss, thanks to talking books. The participants are given a different book each month, from a variety of genres, and get together for a lively discussion.

 

 

Vets Coffee Talk--meets the LAST Thursday of each month, from 10am -12pm Veterans, their families and friends gather to swap stories and reminisce, with an occasional outing on a field trip or to a restaurant.
